Job summary

ParaMed, a leading home health care provider, seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver community visits that assess abilities and needs, working with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to support client function. This role may involve pediatrics (in-home or school services) and/or adults with health concerns.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing).
  • Accepting new graduates.
  • Licensed.
  • ADP authorization considered an asset.
  • Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Able to provide a current Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and address clients' occupational performance and engagement.
  • Develop client-centered plans with client, inter-professional teams, and adjust services to reflect individual environments.
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving and judgement to address client needs.
  • Maintain professional client records in compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
