Interior Health Authority is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist in Keremeos, B.C. This role involves providing comprehensive therapy services to long-term care clients and participating in a multidisciplinary team. We have a permanent part-time (0.40 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening supporting Long-term Care clients in Keremeos, B.C. This position is scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 08:00 to 16:00. It is combined with a (0.50 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening in the Community Care team, totaling a 0.90 FTE permanent position. The occupational therapist works independently and as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community occupational therapy services. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients and caregivers to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes. The therapist contributes to departmental goals, participates in quality assurance, meetings, research, and education, and provides work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
