Carewest Innovative Healthcare in Glenmore Park is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support our Enhanced Regional Community Transition Program (ERCTP) on rehabilitation and recovery units. Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting is an asset.

The Opportunity

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on our rehabilitation and recovery units, and contributing to our resident's quality of life through provisions of appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence on our continuing care units. Other duties may include
providing clinical supervision to support staff and students. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Program Summary:

Enhanced Regional Community Transition Program (ERCTP) – a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not need an acute-care level of service, but may require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
