Job summary

Carewest in Calgary, AB is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to provide client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on rehabilitation and recovery units. You will contribute to residents' quality of life with interventions to maximize safe, functional independence.

New graduates are welcome. The role may include clinical supervision of staff and students as part of ongoing training and program delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset. New grad/provisional OT welcome.

Other duties may include providing clinical supervision to support staff and students. Responsible for other related duties as required. **Program Summary:** Enhanced Regional Community Transition Program (ERCTP) – a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not need an acute-care level of service, but may require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community. **Qualifications:** - Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).- Eligible for membership in CAOT.- AADL Authorizer is an asset.- Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
