Carewest Innovative Healthcare is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist at Colonel Belcher in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on client care through assessment, treatment, and discharge planning on rehabilitation and recovery units, aiming to maximize safe, functional independence for residents.

The incumbent may supervise staff and students and contribute to related duties as required. Registration with ACOT and CAOT eligibility are required or assets in this dynamic continuing care

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.

The Opportunity

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on our rehabilitation and recovery units, and contributing to our resident's quality of life through provisions of appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence on our continuing care units. Other duties may include
providing clinical supervision to support staff and students. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
• New grad/provisional occupational therapists welcome.
