Job summary

Carewest is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist for a Regular Part Time position at the Signal Pointe Occupational Therapy Complex in Calgary. You will perform focused assessments, develop treatment and discharge plans, and support residents’ independence on our rehabilitation units.

This role welcomes new grads and provisional therapists. Registration with ACOT is required; CAOT membership is encouraged. Experience in clinical/continuing care settings is considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.
• AADL Authorizer is an asset.
• Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on rehabilitation and recovery units.
• Contribute to residents' quality of life through appropriate interventions to maximize safe functional independence.
• Provide clinical supervision to support staff and students where appropriate.
• Fulfilling other related duties as required.
