Description: The Occupational Therapist I (OT) services are primarily clinical in nature and require expertise in the functional assessment and treatment, client centred case management and discharge planning. Areas of treatment include but are not limited to: orthopedics, acute, stroke, post-op hands, lower extremity clinic, splinting, mental health, cognitive assessments. The position also involves consultations and collaboration with hospital staff and community agencies, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team including supervision of therapist assistant staff in the delivery of hospital based rehabilitation. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) required.Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience caring for stroke patients.
