Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement of quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Under the direction of the Lead Occupational Therapist, the Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing all clinical aspects of their assigned caseload, ensuring practice aligns with hospital objectives, policies, standards, and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists' Guidelines for Client-Centered Practice.

Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience
  • Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
