Position Information
Temporary position until approximately April 06, 2026.
This position is for adult acute care inpatients, including Neuro Stroke unit.
Rotation/Shifts
Days, including weekends, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements
- Master's degree in occupational therapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO);
- Member in good standing with COTO;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent problem solving and clinical judgement;
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills including collaboration with patients, families, teams, students, and/or external partners;
- Excellent working knowledge of OT scope of practice and demonstrated skills working with acute and chronic medical conditions;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in mobility seating and positioning;
- Previous experience assessing and treating patients who have a diagnosis of stroke;
- Knowledge of the resources available in the Champlain Region for supporting stroke patients across the continuum of care;
- Recent completion of AlphaFIM certification;
- Recently completed training in non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI);
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
