Job summary

Oneida Nation of the Thames is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain the occupational health and safety program, ensuring compliance with the Canada Labour Code and related regulations. This 1-year contract role will drive a proactive safety culture across all sites.

The successful candidate will liaise with management and staff, support safety committees, and implement policies, training, and incident investigations as required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, human resources, or a related field.
• A recognized OH&S designation (CRSP/CHST/CHSC/CHSEP) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the occupational health and safety program.
• Coordinate the Workplace Health and Safety Committee and ensure legislative requirements are met.
• Provide guidance on safety policies, procedures, and best practices across departments.
• Monitor compliance and prepare safety reports and metrics for management.
