Job summary

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is seeking a Long Term Occasional Teaching candidate for a 1.0 FTE Grade 7 position at Bishop Alexander Carter. The role supports a faith-based, inclusive learning community and engages students through literacy and numeracy initiatives, with a focus on technology-enabled instruction and differentiated teaching approaches.

Responsibilities include maintaining classroom management, collaborating with staff and parents, and delivering quality instruction

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Qualification in Intermediate Division

• Knowledge, experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support effective instruction and engage students
• An ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic Education and integrating the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations throughout classroom practice
• A willingness to participate in the school’s ongoing literacy and numeracy initiatives
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability and commitment to working with students, staff, and parents
