Practice

We are seeking two new colleagues to join our Obstetrician and Gynecology team at Penticton Regional Hospital. We work from a community private practice while providing obstetrical consultation for the Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) Labour & Delivery service and the South Okanagan low risk maternity. This is an incredible opportunity to practice up-to-date OB/GYN in a Regional Hospital with modern ORs and Ambulatory care. Our department is proud to support the UBC Physician Training at the FP Resident Level. Both experienced and new Canadian graduates are invited to apply. International Medical Graduates, eligible for licensing in Canada, may also be considered.

Penticton Regional Hospital

Serving 90,000 residents across the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) functions as a regional facility and secondary referral centre. Our 172 acute beds provide emergency, trauma, specialty, surgical, and outpatient care, plus diagnostic and paramedical services, tailored to community needs. At PRH, we prioritize innovation, providing on-site CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine technology. Our 10-bed ICU delivers vital care for the most critically ill patients. As the referral base for hematology and transfusion medicine for smaller local hospitals in Oliver and Princeton, we offer centralized services across the Okanagan Valley. Recent expansions demonstrate our commitment to advancing care at PRH. We unveiled the David E. Kampe Tower (DKT), introducing state-of-the-art surgical facilities, 84 private inpatient suites, a new medical device reprocessing unit, and space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine Program. We also upgraded our emergency department by adding new trauma bays, treatment spaces, and consultation rooms.
