Hunter Bond is seeking an Observability Engineer for their client, Elite FinTech, in Toronto. This role focuses on working across monitoring and observability platforms within a trading environment, supporting a large scale estate.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux, Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Vector, ELK, and AlertManager, along with Python knowledge. Collaborating with technical teams is essential to ensure system visibility and reliability.

The compensation ranges from $120,000 to $250,000 CAD, plus a bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within the Observability space.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Vector, ELK, and AlertManager.
• Python knowledge for automation.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Understanding of Kubernetes is a distinct advantage.

The Role

Observability: Working across monitoring and observability platforms within a trading environment.

Infrastructure Monitoring: Supporting and enhancing monitoring across a large scale estate.

Collaboration: Working with multiple technical teams to ensure visibility and reliability across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring Tools: Working with tools such as VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, ELK and AlertManager.
• Linux: Operating within a Linux based environment.
• Automation: Utilising Python where required.
• Version Control: Working with Git.
• Container Environments: Supporting environments where Kubernetes understanding is advantageous.
