St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a Physician Assistant to support obstetrics and gynecology services at Charlton Campus and affiliate sites.

The PA will perform initial intake, assist in a postpartum hypertension clinic, and triage obstetric and gynecologic cases to enhance timely patient care. Reporting to the Manager of Medical & Academic Affairs, the PA will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, extend physician services, and help develop new care models.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Canadian or US PA training program.
• Certification (CCPA or PA-C) or eligible for certification.
• Be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) as required by law.
• Demonstrates superior communication skills.
• Able to work independently within their scope of practice and within the physician-PA relationship.

Aufgaben

• Perform initial intake for obstetrical patients weekly to streamline referrals.
• Assist in postpartum hypertension clinic management and BP follow-ups.
• Triage post-menopausal bleeding patients and support urgent investigations.
• Assist in Labor and Delivery triage and consultations in ED as needed.
• Support new care models and collaborate with physicians to improve patient flow and access.
