Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a senior Nutanix Infrastructure Architect for a 6-month contract (potential extension) to design, deploy, and migrate enterprise infrastructure in North America remotely. This hands-on role requires deep Nutanix expertise, greenfield deployments, migrations, and Dell PowerFlex deployment experience, with ownership from solution design through implementation and documentation.

You will provide leadership to internal teams, document architecture and operations aligned with CSF

Qualifications

• Senior Nutanix architecture with hands-on greenfield deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy Nutanix infrastructure solutions, including greenfield environments and migrations.
• Design and implement Dell PowerFlex infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure planning, architecture, implementation, migration, and deployment activities.
• Assess technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage complex escalations.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal infrastructure teams.
• Work directly with OEMs/vendors to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
• Develop architecture, deployment, operational, and support documentation aligned with NIST CSF 2.0.
• Support backup availability, resiliency, and infrastructure operational requirements.
• Provide project status, technical findings, risks, and implementation reporting.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Overview

Client is seeking a senior Nutanix Infrastructure Architect to support the design, deployment, and migration of enterprise infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring proven experience delivering Nutanix greenfield implementations, infrastructure migrations, and Dell PowerFlex deployments. The Architect will own solution design through implementation and documentation while providing technical leadership to internal teams. Solutions and documentation will align with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 principles.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy Nutanix infrastructure solutions, including greenfield environments and migrations
• Design and implement Dell PowerFlex infrastructure
• Lead infrastructure planning, architecture, implementation, migration, and deployment activities

Qualifications: Must-Have

• Senior-level Nutanix architecture and implementation experience
• Proven hands-on experience with Nutanix greenfield deployments and infrastructure migrations
• Hands-on Dell PowerFlex deployment experience
• Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and RCA
• Ability to lead technical implementations and guide internal engineering/infrastructure teams
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of NIST CSF 2.0 and security-focused infrastructure design
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, resiliency, and high-availability architectures
• Nutanix and/or Dell infrastructure certifications
• Experience working directly with OEM/vendor support and managing technical escalations
• Experience supporting large enterprise or engineering/manufacturing environments
