A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to support patient care operations. The role involves clerical duties including transcribing orders, coordinating appointments, and maintaining patient records. Ideal candidates will have effective communication skills and relevant experience in a healthcare setting.

Reporting to the Manager or designate and under general supervision, this position performs a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a patient care area. Responsibilities include acting as a communication link by transcribing and processing physicians' orders, communicating with other departments and hospitals, coordinating patient appointments, arranging tests and receiving results, receiving and directing visitors, answering telephones, assembling and maintaining patient charts, and performing keyboarding and data entry tasks.
Grade 12, knowledge of medical terminology, graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, and at least one year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
