Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Nursing Resource Coordinator to manage Home Care teams, ensuring consistent nursing services and effective resource use. You will supervise staff in line with MNU and CRNM standards, coordinating across a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements include a baccalaureate in nursing (master's preferred), active CRNM registration, CPR training, and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time, in-person role in Winnipeg.

Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)

As a member of a Home Care Team, reporting to the Manager Health Services, the incumbent functions as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a consistent standard of client nursing services. This is achieved through responsible management of nursing staff and other resources. Nursing Resource Coordinators supervise and manage their staff according to the MNU collective agreement, CRNM Standards of Practice and Operational Standards for the Visiting Nurse Program.

Experience
  • Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience.
  • Experience supervising staff required, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Community experience an asset.
  • Case Management experience an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and use of a vehicle.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
