Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced EYFS/Nursery teacher for maternity cover in a Barnet primary school, starting January 2027. The role requires QTS/WTS and solid EYFS nursery experience to create a warm, inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will work with nursery staff and specialists, maintaining high safeguarding standards and contributing to the school community within a Jewish ethos.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS learning.
• Create stimulating indoor and outdoor continuous provision.

• Adapt provision to support children with SEND, working closely with the SENCO.
• Establish a warm, nurturing environment with high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Work collaboratively with Nursery staff, teaching assistants and wider school colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, health and safety.
• Contribute positively to the wider life and development of the school.

EYFS / Nursery Teacher - Maternity CoverLocation: Barnet, North London Start: January 2027 Contract: Temporary - Maternity Cover, potentially for the full academic year Role: Nursery / EYFS Teacher A fantastic opportunity for an experienced EYFS / Nursery Teacher to join a warm, welcoming and progressive Orthodox Jewish primary school in Barnet, North London, from January 2027.

About the role

We are seeking a qualified teacher with strong EYFS experience to teach in Nursery and provide a warm, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

The Nursery is well supported, with Nursery Assistants working alongside the class teacher.

The school also provides staff with substantial PPA time, with children taught by specialist teachers, including Jewish Studies.

There is also an early Friday finish during the autumn and winter months.

• Experienced in EYFS, with Nursery experience highly desirable.
