NurseriesAndSchools.org is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead the Little Upton Nursery in Windsor. You will oversee daily operations, classroom presence in Acorns, and holiday coverage for Acorns and Oaks, while driving recruitment and awareness of the nursery.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in nurseries, line management experience, and strong organisational and communication skills, with an emphasis on safeguarding and use of technology in education.
Location: Windsor, Berkshire
Salary: GBP48,500-GBP50,200 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work: 8am - 5pm 40 hours per week
To Start: September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly passionate, experienced and caring Nursery Manager to join our team working in a school with children aged 2 to 11 years, managing our Little Upton Nursery.
We are a small independent school in Windsor. The school has been running since 1936. We value each and every member of our staff team and recognise that people can bring different ideas and suggestions all of which are equally valued. We view our team members as our extended family and most of our staff have worked with the school for many years.
Our Little Upton Nursery opened in 2008 and has continued to grow and develop our children since then. There are two year groups; Acorns for children aged 2-3 and Oaks for children aged 3-4.
The Little Upton Nursery Manager will be a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day running of the nursery throughout the year. As well as being in the Acorns classroom during term time and with Acorns and Oaks in the school holidays, the Nursery Manager will be responsible for marketing the Little Upton Nursery to ensure numbers remain buoyant, this will include planning open mornings and looking into new opportunities to promote the wonderful, nurturing set up that we have.
The successful candidate will work with the Head of EYFS, Oaks Coordinator and Little Upton Holidays School Coordinator to ensure high quality teaching, care and planning are managed throughout the nursery.
The Nursery Manager will ensure that children's progress records and maintained and reviewed with feedback given to parents at handover as well as at parents evenings.
As the Coordinator for the Acorns room during term time, the Nursery Manager will also act as a key person to a group of children, settling in new children and working closely with their families.
