Job summary
We are looking for a Deputy Ward Manager to work on Greendale Ward at Woodview, Whalley.Woodview opened in December 2023. Woodview Unit is a newly refurbished building on the Whalley site which has a total of 32 beds including 12 Male, 12 Female and an 8 bedded Male PICU unit. These additional beds will complement those on the Pendleview Unit, Royal Blackburn Hospital.This is an exciting opportunity and the successful candidates will be part of an evolving service that has the needs of our service users at its heart. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to come and join a forward thinking, dynamic and constantly developing team.
Main duties of the job
To provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment formulation planning, monitoring of care given to inpatient service users.To provide leadership to oversee and ensure all contacts with service users are recorded promptly and accurately and are of a high standard.Provision of information and participate as requested, to assist service development and Clinical Governance requirements e.g. surveys, audits etc.
You must have proven clinical skills along with excellent communication skills, good knowledge and understanding of adult mental health and the needs of individuals. You will also need to have a working knowledge of the care programme approach, NICE guidance and enhanced risk assessment and the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs on mental health and well-being.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
