Job summary

Carewest in Calgary is seeking a Nurse Team Lead to provide professional nursing leadership, assess and treat residents, and guide an interdisciplinary care team within a complex mental health program.

You will coordinate daily operations, support residents and families, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement toward safe, person-centered care, in a non-union setting at Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized nursing program.
• Nursing degree is preferred.
• Registration with the CARNA.
• CPR.
• Certification in geriatrics an asset.
• Certification or additional education in Mental Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Gerontology, Behavioural Supports, or Psychosocial Rehabilitation preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental-health, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care practices.
• Suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention training considered an asset.

• Mentor team members and promote evidence-informed practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure safe, person-centered care.
