Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialty focus functions with a high level of autonomy, demonstrating expert skills to manage acute and chronic illnesses, surgical pathways, and promote wellness. The NP will provide care for thoracic surgery patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, including thoracic oncology and CTEPH patients, and will consult for Mount Sinai Hospital patients.
Duties:
Responsibilities include utilizing comprehensive knowledge and clinical skills to assess and manage thoracic surgery patients, leading quality improvement initiatives, participating in policy development, conducting research, providing education, and serving as a resource within the professional community and hospital.
