Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a term-specific part-time Nurse Practitioner to join the Ktunaxa Nation Health Centre in Cranbrook, BC. The NP will provide services to Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients with a focus on mental health, substance use, and marginalized populations.

The Centre, located in downtown Cranbrook, operates under a circle-of-care model with outreach to East Kootenay communities. The role requires peer review and contributes to population health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or equivalent.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Experience in a clinical setting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat undifferentiated diseases and conditions within NP scope.
• Care management: monitor care, order investigations, interpret results, and plan treatment.
• Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to develop individualized plans.
