Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre. The role provides autonomous, evidence-informed care across primary, acute, and long-term care settings, reporting to a manager in the designated program area.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe within NP scope, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and support safe, person-centred care while respecting Indigenous health priorities.

Qualifications

  • Min. 3 years RN exp. in Emergency, Acute, LTC, Continuing Care, Primary Care
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • CRNS registration as RN (NP) eligible

Job Description: This Nurse Practitioner (NP) role provides autonomous, evidence-informed care across continuing care, long-term care, primary health care, acute care, urgent care, and emergency settings. The position will report to and work under the direction of a manager in one of the designated program areas. Practicing within Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, CRNS standards, and legislated NP scope, the NP assesses, diagnoses, treats, prescribes, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs authorized procedures, and evaluates care for clients with common acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, urgent and emergent needs, and health promotion priorities as the most responsible provider (MRP). The NP works collaboratively with clients, families, physicians, multi-disciplinary teams, community partners, and managers to support safe, person-centred, culturally responsive, and coordinated care.

Experience

Education

Licenses
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
