Qualifications

• Registration/licensing in good standing as a Registered Nurse with provincial regulatory college.
• BScN preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a formal nursing leadership role required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse in a community setting.
• Certification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferred.
• Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) preferred.
• Knowledge of health care legislation including Mental Health Act and Privacy/PHIA.
• Knowledge of standards of care for palliative, wound, IV therapy and related areas.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible hours to accommodate operations.
• Knowledge of community resources for clients and families.
• Current First Aid, CPR certification within Canada (within 12 months).
• Proficient computer skills: Word and Excel.
• Able to provide a clear VPS background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical supervisors and frontline staff to ensure quality care delivery.
• Coach and mentor leaders on care delivery and staff support.
• Monitor care delivery performance and clinical indicators.
• Oversee interviewing, orientation and performance management of supervisors.
• Ensure completion of mandatory training and skill development.
• Create and maintain on-call schedules for clinical Supervisors.
• Respond to clinical concerns from staff, contractors, and families.
• Review safety incidents and participate in investigations and resolutions.
• Provide clinical leadership at the district level and oversee CQI activities.
• Ensure compliance with ParaMed policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with government agencies and healthcare partners.
