As a Complex Care Nurse Lead, you will work to support, mentor, and train your team to meet the diverse needs of the clients, caregivers, and nurses you serve in your community.
Visit new and existing clients, caregivers, and nurses on a regular basis. This role is an active community position that requires regular home visits within the community. It involves a high level of hands-on care, training, and coaching, including weekly onsite visits with clients, caregivers, and nurses in the field.
Coordinate and provide training for field caregivers and nurses.
Education
A certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in the General Class. Current CPR certification.
Experience
At least five years of recent experience with progressive supervisory responsibilities, preferably in a community setting. Proven ability in training development and evaluation, people management, and interpreting policies. Business development experience is a plus.
Other attributes and requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle difficult situations objectively, work independently, lead a team, and communicate effectively. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required. Knowledge of community nursing principles, practices, and service delivery, along with program development, implementation, and evaluation. Clear police clearance, vulnerable sector screening, and a negative TB test are mandatory.
