Job summary

TELUS is seeking aRegistered Nurse to join our Onsite Services team in Vancouver for the annual flu vaccination campaign. The role is casual, part-time with minimum 20h/week and requires patient-centered care, empathy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities include administering influenza vaccines, communicating side effects, and maintaining vaccine inventories. Travel to client sites and valid driver’s license are expected; ACLS is a plus, CPR up to date, and BC licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and active BC nursing license (BCCNM).
  • CPR certification up to date.
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience (private or public).
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional judgment.
  • Assiduity, autonomy, punctuality, discretion, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions.

The nurse will be responsible for providing vaccination during the annual flu campaign from October through December. Working with a customer service oriented team, you will provide a rewarding patient experience with empathy, discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

You are the missing piece of the puzzle with

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Current registration and license in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • CPR certification up to date
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience (private or public sector)
  • Ready to travel to the client site
  • Valid driver’s license and have access to a car
  • Interest in customer service and a corporate work environment
  • Professionalism and strong judgment
  • Assiduity, autonomy, punctuality, discretion, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions
Great-to-haves
  • ACLS certification
  • Previous experience in primary care or acute care is an asset
  • Computer skills are an asset (EMR, Power Point, Excel, Word)
