Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a Public Health Nurse for St. Joseph's Health Centre in Ile-a-la-Crosse. This is a full-time temporary role starting Nov 17, 2026 with a defined end date of Oct 15, 2027.

The nurse provides prenatal/postnatal care, immunizations and health counseling to individuals, families and groups. Working 28 eight-hour shifts over 3 weeks, this position requires BScN and immunization competencies; CRNS registration eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) required.
• Immunization Competencies Course required.
• Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS and RN (NP) status.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of community-based Public Health Services.
• Provide pre and post-natal care and immunization.

Job Description: The Public Health Nurse delivers a full range of community-based Public Health Services including pre and post-natal care, immunization, health counseling. You will also prepare and present information on various health issues/topics to individuals, families and groups.
