Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority in Rosetown is seeking an Assistant Head Nurse to assist the Care Team Manager in assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating Nursing Services within the Rosetown Health Centre.

The role supports the General Medical Nursing Unit, requires a BScN (nursing diploma acceptable) and a BLS, with strong leadership and communication skills. Workdays, 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks, in a full-time temporary capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is required.
• Nursing diploma acceptable as alternative.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Care Team Manager to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Nursing Services.
• Support and lead the General Medical Nursing Unit in daily operations.
• Promote collaboration, best practice and effective patient care.
