Job summary

Pioneer Community Living Association (PCLA) is seeking a Nurse (RN / RPN) to provide care and coordination for individuals with mental health needs. This causal position requires working weekends and holidays, focusing on facilitating life skills and administering medical care in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

  • Available to work weekends and statutory holidays.

Nurse (RN / RPN) : Weekends and Statutory Holidays, Casual / Call In Shits

Position Summary

Under the supervision and direction of the Manager of Care, the Nurse is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of life skill groups to prepare residents for independent living. The position provides direct nursing care, including administration of medications and processing of doctors’ orders.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from recognized training in professional nursing with current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations, exercise sound professional judgment,
  • Experience in group facilitation. Identify and analyze problems and provide effective solutions.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Proficiency with oral and written communication in English
  • Available to work weekends and statutory holidays.

This is a unionized Nurse Level 3 position with a salary range a $41.42 to $55.91 per hour plus applicable premiums and additional recognition pay.
