Job summary

E3 Works in Windsor, ON seeks a Nuclear Quality Systems Engineer to ensure compliance with CSA, ASME, ISO, and related standards in a regulated manufacturing setting. The role focuses on developing quality procedures, supporting audits, and improving QA processes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a nuclear manufacturing environment, strong technical writing skills, and is eligible for P.Eng. registration in Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Nuclear industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • P.Eng. designation or eligibility is an asset.
  • Experience with nuclear quality standards, pressure vessel manufacturing, welding quality systems, or nuclear QA programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear industry standards (CSA N299, CSA N285, ASME Nuclear QSC, ASME Section III & VIII, CSA B51, ISO 9001, CWB, and Controlled Goods Program requirements).
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and certification audits (ASME accreditation and CSA qualification).
  • Conduct and participate in internal audits, compliance assessments, supplier qualifications, and quality evaluations.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing records, and technical documentation for compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Plans and ITPs.
  • Verify material traceability and documentation requirements.
  • Support corrective and preventive actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Previous nuclear industry experience
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and standards
  • Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration in Ontario is considered an asset
  • Experience with nuclear quality standards, pressure vessel manufacturing, welding quality systems, or nuclear quality assurance programs is an asset
