Job summary

Alberta Health Services is recruiting a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. You will perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures using gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, and radiation safety devices as outlined in the department manual.

The role includes working in the RAH Diagnostic Imaging unit with a 1.00 FTE and a shift pattern that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call as per rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration with ACMDTT.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program.Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have ACMDTT Enhanced Practice or CTIC; PET/CT experience preferred. Connect Care training an asset. No physical restrictions such as sitting or standing for extended periods, ability to lift, twist, bend and lift up to 50lb.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diagnostic imaging booking experience and Connect Care training preferred. Strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Ability to assume responsibility, to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates initiative, good judgement, positive attitude and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability in the use of tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and physicians.
