An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team. Reporting to the Supervisor or designate and working in a computerized and digital imaging environment, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist coordinates, organizes, and performs the daily activities in the Nuclear Medicine imaging department. The technologist collaborates with fellow technologists and students, maintains current knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, and complies with established administrative and clinical standards. Ensuring consistent image and exam quality, as well as accurate test results, is essential.
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RTNM).
- Graduation from an approved nuclear medicine technology diploma program.
- Eligible for CAMRT membership.
- Completion of CT education courses and/or equivalent in-house education in physics, instrumentation, and CT clinical applications, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least one year of recent, relevant nuclear medicine experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Experience with all types of diagnostic and therapeutic radioisotope procedures.
