Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Drafting Manager for its Cambridge, Ontario site to lead drafting teams, coordinate with Engineering and Construction, and ensure high-quality drawings and deliverables on complex nuclear/civil projects.

You will oversee scheduling, standards, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to support safe, efficient project execution and continuous improvement in drafting processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting or related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive drafting/design experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor drafting staff and external resources.
• Plan and assign drafting work to meet schedules and client commitments.
• Develop and maintain drafting standards, templates, and drawing controls.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Fabrication and Construction to resolve issues.
• Review drawings, models and technical documents for accuracy and constructability.
• Monitor deliverables and identify risks, taking corrective actions.
