Job summary

Active Dynamics, based in Toronto, is seeking an experienced Process Development Engineer (NPI & Production Support). You will develop fabrication processes for new programs, analyze drawings, and guide tooling and equipment choices to ensure smooth launches.

The role requires 0–3 years in metal fabrication, strong communication, and lean manufacturing awareness. Responsibilities include coordinating pilot builds, APQP participation, and ensuring process capability meets customer standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or diploma.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt desirable.
• 0-3 years of hands-on experience in a metal fabrication environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience with tube bending process is a definite asset.
• Good blueprint reading and interpretation, and operation of tool room and production equipment.
• Excellent English language, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complete fabrication process for new programs and ECNs.
• Review component/assembly drawings and participate in PFD reviews.
• Provide input on tooling design, machine selection, and process parameters.
• Collaborate in APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and DOE analyses.
• Coordinate pilot builds and transfer lessons learned to production.
