Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring embroidery preppers for our client’s facility in North York, with a 3-month contract and potential extension or full-time for the right candidate. Shifts include Day, Afternoon and Night, with a starting pay rate of 19.00–20.50 CAD per hour and weekly direct deposit.

Position involves loading/unloading garments, machine monitoring, and assisting with embroidery prep. TTC-accessible location with on-site parking and shift premiums for certain hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in embroidery, garment customization, sewing or screen printing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload garments onto embroidery machines and ensure proper placement.
• Monitor machine runs to ensure correct stitching and machine operation.
• Assist with garment placement and basic machine upkeep.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues (needles, threads, thread breaks).
• Communicate with operator and supervisor to maintain production flow.

Randstad Canada is hiring embroidery preppers to support custom sports apparel production at our client's facility in North York. We are currently hiring for a 3 month contract with possibility for extension and even full time for the right candidate.

Location: Gurney Crescent (near Dufferin & Lawrence West) is very accessible via the TTC (TTC Route 29/929 Dufferin, 52 Lawrence, or Lawrence West Station).

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.50 / hour (Includes shift premiums; paid weekly via direct deposit)

Location: Gurney Crescent, North York, ON (Easily TTC accessible via Dufferin & Lawrence; free on-site parking available)

Terms: 3-Month contract with strong potential for contract extension.

Available Shifts

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
• Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM

What You Will Be Doing

• Load and Unload: Support the operator by loading prepared garments and hats onto the embroidery machines and safely unloading finished pieces.
• Monitor Machine Runs: Keep a close eye on the machines during operation to ensure the design is stitching correctly and the machine is functioning properly.
• Assist with Garment Placement: Help prepare products for the embroidery process, ensuring accurate placement before they go onto the machine.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Assist with basic machine upkeep and troubleshooting, including changing needles, replacing threads, and fixing minor thread breaks.
• Work with the Team: Communicate effectively with the operator and supervisor to stay on schedule and maintain a smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• -You will assist in the set up of Tajima embroidery machines, including the loading and unloading garments
• -You have the ability to identify machine issues, and assist in troubleshooting
• -You will perform regular machine inspections and report any issues.
• -Help prepare products for the embroidery process, ensuring accurate placement before they go onto the machine.
• -You must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• - Experience with hooping is a plus, but not required.
• -QC is key: You will detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to a supervisor.

Qualifications

• - Experience: Embroidery, garment customization, sewing, or screen printing preferably
• - Technical Familiarity: Demonstrated experience working with DST stitch files, hoop sizing, thread tensioning, and digitizing specifications.
• - Quality Focus: Sharp eye for detail to catch minor flaws, misalignments, or thread breaks before garments are completed.
• - Reliability: Consistent on-time attendance and availability for your selected shift schedule.
• - Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
