Job summary

Nordex Group in Canada seeks a Materials & Tooling Director to lead materials management, warehousing, and tooling operations across North America for wind turbine projects. You will develop strategies, govern processes, manage budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, tooling readiness, and on-time delivery while driving safety and continuous improvement.

Travel up to 35% and a focus on sustainability, integrity, and operational excellence are core

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree/certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in materials management, supply chain, logistics, tooling, or EPC projects.
• 3+ years in leadership roles managing teams.
• Experience with large-scale construction, renewable energy, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong inventory, warehousing and asset management knowledge.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute North America materials and tooling strategies.
• Lead inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and tooling operations.
• Govern policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Plan availability of construction materials, spare parts, and tooling.
• Oversee tooling lifecycle: procurement, inspections, maintenance, calibration, replacement.
• Drive inventory accuracy through audits and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Manage operating and capital budgets for materials, warehousing and tooling.
• Monitor tooling asset utilization and cost performance.
• Lead warehouse operations and transportation strategies.
• Mentor and develop high-performing teams, safety-first culture.
