Job summary

Gtrworldwide in Canada is seeking an Animal Health Technologist or Veterinary Technician to provide clinical and technical support for animal patients in a veterinary setting. You will perform diagnostic testing, patient monitoring and client education to support veterinary care.

You will assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries and dental procedures, monitor anesthesia, collect samples, maintain records and communicate treatment plans to clients.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited animal health technologist or veterinary technician program or equivalent post-secondary training.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the provincial regulatory body where required.
• Practical experience in a veterinary clinical setting or internship with exposure to clinical and surgical procedures.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, follow safety protocols, and complete routine cleaning and sterilization procedures.
