Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a warehouse picker for night shifts in Alberta. You will select products from correct warehouse slots, label cases, and place them on pallets for shipping. The role requires reading labels, operating a pallet jack, and using an RF scanner with attention to safety and accuracy.

This is a 4-month contract with 4x10 hour nights (7 PM–5 AM) and training shifts 7 PM–3 AM. Overtime is possible but not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate in English to read labels and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Must be available to work evenings and overtime if needed.
• Must be physically fit to lift up to 80 lbs and handle pallets.

Responsibilities

• Reads batches of printed case labels to pick orders accurately.
• Retrieves products from designated selection slots.
• Uses RF scanner to verify catch weights and inventory IDs.
• Labels cases and places them on pallets or shipping areas.
• Operates a pallet jack and maintains safe work area.
• Delivers products to shipping lanes and assists with housekeeping.
