Job summary

GardaWorld in Brantford, Ontario is seeking a Tactical Security Guard. You will read environments, anticipate risk, and act calmly while patrolling government buildings, sports facilities, retail environments, and secure facilities.

Shifts are temporary (6-8 weeks) with continental night rotation. GardaWorld Academy supports your growth with education funding, and uniforms are provided. Flexible schedules; both full-time and part-time roles available.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification.
• 1 year of security industry experience.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Able to pass an Advanced Use of Force Training Course.
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Community outreach with vulnerable populations.
• Enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act.
