Job summary

RainCity Housing is seeking a Support Worker for Sechelt Hightide Modular Housing. The role supports homeless and at-risk individuals, using a strengths-based approach and coordinating service plans with tenants.

The position is part-time (0.6 FTE), starting October 12, 2026, with night shifts Fri–Sun 11:30 PM–7:30 AM and a $2.50 night-shift premium. A clear BC Vulnerable Sector check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience include:
• Two (2) years year of recent, related work experience; emphasis on mental health, addictions, homelessness and/or social services.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports to tenants including daily living, health and recreation.
• Develop and implement service plans with assessments, goal setting, achievement and review.
• Advocate for access and rights with external service providers; collaborate with staff and families.
• Administer medications and support building security and crisis intervention.
