Job summary

Extendicare is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a permanent full-time night shift (2300-0700). You will work with an inter-professional team to deliver planned, patient-centered nursing care in line with provincial standards.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, and ensuring accurate documentation. We value strong communication, critical thinking, and coordination with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable Province/State.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the inter-professional team.
• Complete resident care assessments and care/service plans.
• Implement and evaluate care/service plans; adjust as needed.
• Assist with scheduling resident care conferences.
• Coordinate moves in/out and transfers.
• Provide direct resident care and medication/treatment administration.
• Process orders and safely manage drugs and narcotics.
• Educate residents and families.
