Job summary

Nortech is seeking an Night Shift NDT Radiography Technician (CEDO) for the Edmonton area in a full-time role with an increased premium. This position focuses on exposure device operation and radiography testing for the local region.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting tests to detect discontinuities, and reporting results while strictly following safety and QA standards. Training for CEDO is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CGSB Level II Certification in RT is an asset.
• Additional MT/PT/UT certifications are assets.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.

Responsibilities

Night Shift NDT Radiography Technician (CEDO) – Edmonton Area - Increased Premium. We are seeking an Exposure Device Operator / Radiography Technician for a full-time, night shift position serving the Edmonton region.

Nortech is seeking candidates to support fulltime work in the Edmonton area. We are currently looking for CGSB certified RT 2 technicians or will support training and certification for the right candidate who have experience as a CEDO.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CGSB Level II Certification in RT is an asset. Additional certification to MT, PT, or UT is an asset
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
