Job summary

Sofina Foods in Hanover, ON is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) for the night shift to maintain and repair production equipment. Licensed Millwright with a 433A license and fabrication experience is required to support electricians and power engineers.

Responsibilities include teardown/setup, troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, and advising operators on non‑mechanical issues. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a 433A license.
• Experience with fabrication.
• Experience in installation and repair of machines and equipment is an asset.
• Experience in stainless steel fabrications and repair is an asset.
• Competent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work after-hours tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, including completing changeovers as per production schedule.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.
• Provide support to maintenance staff such as Electricians and Power Engineers.
• Perform regular maintenance routines without direct supervision and advise the Production or Maintenance Manager of any issues that could impact production.
• Act as an advisor to Machine Operators for non‑mechanical issues.
• Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Program.
