Job summary

Sonele Inc. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Laser/Photonics Technician for the Night Shift to support the Transducer Manufacturing team. The role involves fabrication, assembly, and testing of transducers using laser and metallization equipment in a lab/manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• College diploma/certificate in Photonics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering Tech preferred.
• Equivalent hands-on CNC machining or precision manufacturing experience will be considered in place of a photonics background.
• Strong troubleshooting and precision assembly skills required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, test, assemble, and characterize high-frequency arrays and ultrasound scanning mechanisms.
• Operate laser machining and sputtering/metallization equipment.
• Set up and troubleshoot CNC and precision machining equipment.
• Perform assembly and inspection using microscopes and precision tools.
• Maintain inventory for array production and contribute to process improvements.
