Job summary

ANDRITZ in Kentville, Nova Scotia, is seeking motivated general labourers to join the joining department on night shifts. The role involves setting up automatic joining machines, performing adjustments, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth production.

The position includes shift premiums for 12-hour night shifts and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should be able to adhere to QHSE practices, work with engineers and supervisors, and follow detailed work instructions to maintain

Qualifications

• Must efficiently set up and start up automatic Joining machines to ensure a well operating machine before it is turned over to the Joiner.
• Conducts mechanical repair, adjustments and fine tunes joining equipment readying for auto fringing and joining.
• Must be familiar with all Work Instructions specific to Joiner 1’s via VKS and all other relevant work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate joining machines and ensure proper setup for production.
• Maintain and service auto joining equipment to keep uptime high.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.
