Job summary

Paladin Security is hiring a Security Guard for Greater Niagara General Hospital in Canada. The role covers rounds, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response during Continental Nights shifts (20:00–08:00). Requires healthcare security experience and valid First Aid/CPR Level C, UoF and MOAB certifications.

You will work with hospital staff and law enforcement to maintain a safe environment, with benefits and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security experience in a healthcare setting.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
• Complete immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, two-step TB skin test, and double COVID-19 vaccination).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises including hallways, patient rooms, entrances, exits, and parking areas.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms, report suspicious activity.
• Control access at entry points to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Respond to site emergencies, medical calls, fire alarms, and security threats.
• Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions while following site policies.
• De-escalate tense situations using conflict resolution techniques.
• Write daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and local law enforcement to maintain safety.
