Job summary

Beendigen Anishinabe Women's Crisis Home in Thunder Bay invites applications for a Resident Crisis Worker. This full‑time temporary night position (midnight–8am) supports residents in a crisis home, with a 40‑hour work week and rotating Sundays to Saturdays.

The worker will provide crisis intervention, work within Anishinabe teachings, maintain records, and collaborate with the Program Supervisor to ensure safety and respectful care.

Qualifications

• Social Service Worker Diploma or comparable diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience providing services to Anishinabe women and children.
• Knowledge of Anishinabe culture, tradition, language and Anishinabe community.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Violence Against Women sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and support to residents.
• Enter and maintain resident information in the Crisis Home database.
• Facilitate resident programming and documentation.
