Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh is seeking an overnight Radiologic Technologist for the Diagnostic Radiology team. You’ll support the Emergency Department and inpatient imaging needs on a fixed Thursday and Friday overnight schedule from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

You will work with a three-technologist overnight team, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care, with centralized inpatient transport and a collaboration-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• Registered by ARRT or registry-eligible and registered within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to department protocols.
• Ensures correct patient demographics, exam requests, and proper image handling in PACS/RIS.
• Performs routine radiology procedures and tests to acquire diagnostic data.
• Works timely and consistently to produce quality radiographic images and appropriate action plans.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS to access information and document procedure status.
• Verifies patient identity and safety; responds to emergency situations when needed.
