This Job posting is only for Internal Community Living Cambridge Staff member

TYPICAL HOURS OF WORK: 40 hrs weekly. 80 Bi-Weekly Flexibility required. Week nights (weekend flexibility required) Required to work Statutory Holidays.

DESCRIPTION OF CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support individuals to live with dignity, in line with the values and ethics of Community Living Cambridge
  • To uphold confidentiality of all individuals
  • To provide personal care support to residents during the night and morning routine.
  • Provide morning care, assist with personal hygiene, feeing and dressing. To dispense medications, record attendance and fire check. Transport clients to day programs in the morning
  • Health and Safety Representative for home
  • Carry out resident programs and other duties as outlined in the job description

FORMAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and rights of person with developmental disabilities
  • Previous experience working with people who have disabilities and behavioural issues will be an asset
  • Teamwork, communication and good time management are important in this position
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job - SOME LIFTING MAY BE REQUIRED
  • Must have a good/general overall work record with Community Living Cambridge

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Valid driver's license
